Ramjets don't require controls or power and their whole deal is that they don't need fuel. I had no idea it was a bug.

i think I'm going to have to agree with reaper here. this ship just has a very simple computer program hardwired into it, as opposed to a complex computer core or even a crew. It's not doing anything complicated, like shooting a gun or nursing thrusters, its just going to some star system. I wouldn't call this an exploit myself -- maybe because I use these all the time...

Funny, I made a Tanker and an Ammo Hauler with the same design. They didn't need control, crew or life support.

i think it should be left alone after all its just a engine on a ship we have computers that could pilot that thing now its not a far leap assuming a spaceflight capable species would too

It should at least have a computer subsystem then, something to give it plausibility.

Airith, one could assume that would be bundled into the cost of the hull. Really this thing is nothing more than something like the long range space probes we have today, just with more advanced engines.

So, it's not a whole lot of metal more to add another two engines, and there is room... why not make it faster?

If its going to get there a couple minutes later, but you don't really need the information at this point, why would you spend the resources to make it faster. I guess with this scale I would agree with why not add more engines as the extra resource cost would be so little.

its whatever your lowest scale it lets you use is. The default is .001 or at least I think it is so just use that.

Another interesting bug is that these ships are so small they actually disappear (as in you can't see their icon or anything) if you aren't completely zoomed in on them, you wouldn't believe how many of these things I've lost simply due to not knowing where they are so I can select them. Oh and add 2 more Ramjets for extra speed.

You should fill all the space. 4 ramjets. At small scales, subsystems are free. Only the hull affects cost.

Because each additional ramjet also has mass you dont raise the top acceleration very much at all even by using 4 total ramjets. Another ~15% speed isnt cost effective for the price in materials
